Republican VP Choice

I have been wanting to write something regarding the "conservative" party's recent nomination of Sarah Palin for the VP slot, but alas I am in the middle of moving and have not had the time to compile my thoughts on this issue and transcribe them into a blog post. So here are two similar perspectives on Mrs. Palin's nomination that I tend to agree with, maybe entirely. The first is a post from Doug Phillip's blog and the second from CS Hayden's blog. Enjoy these well written, thought provoking pieces and leave a comment of what your thoughts are. I am genuinely interested in what stance Christians will take on this issue.

"The Ground of Liberty: The Word of God"

Here is a good article I read today and I thought I should share it with you, my audience. Enjoy and feel free to comment and discuss it on this blog. I would like to hear some feed back on this.

Tax Dollars At Work

Newmax reported today some states have reached the conclusion that maybe the electronic voting machines our tax dollars bought just a few short years ago aren't really all they were hyped up to be. So, now that we have bought a slew of these wonderful, technological machines that we don't like any more the question is 'how can we get rid of them'? According to Newsmax one generous manufacturer is offering to buy their machines back for $1 a piece. Now I know some of you are scratching your head and thinking "$1...didn't we pay a little bit more for them than $1?" Yes, only a little bit more... in the realm of several thousand times $1 more! Apparently there have been some of these nifty pieces of fill in the blank that were purchased for $5,000!!! The government ceases to amaze me at how they continue to expand the horizons to the definition of "careless" is all I have to say...that and "wow!"

Guns In Texas School.......Legally!!

Chron.com reported today that one North Texas school district is finally going to have some real security measures. They are going to let approved teachers conceal carry. This is the best news I have heard in a long time! Now lets just hope that this starts a ripple affect.
